Section for services for people with disabilities provides comprehensive support for people with special needs, including those with disabilities. The team consists of The Rector’s Representative for the Disabled: Dr. Krystyna Gilga And Aneta Kucybała Specialist – Consultant for inclusive education.

What we do?

We support people with special needs, including disabilities

  1. Ensuring conditions for full participation in the life of the University and the academic community consists in particular of the rights and forms of support referred to in the Support Regulations.
  2. The entities responsible for coordinating activities for people with special needs, including people with disabilities, are the Section for Special Needs. The Rector’s Office for Services to Persons with Disabilities and the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Disability Services. Persons with Disabilities.
  3. A student with special needs, including a student with a disability, if warranted by his/her special needs, is entitled to the entitlements and services referred to in the Support Regulations.
  4. At the written request of the student, the Dean of Student Affairs will be in charge of the student’s application. The Student Affairs Officer/Dean of the Branch shall issue a decision on the granted entitlements and forms of support after consulting with the Rector’s Representative for Student Affairs.   • Most teaching and administrative facilities of the University are partially adapted to the needs of people with disabilities from the point of view of their accessibility. In the case of students with mobility problems, the Teaching Department, after obtaining information from the Dean’s Office, plans classes in such a way that all classes are held in buildings adapted to people with special communication needs.
  • Students with disabilities also have free access to parking spaces on campus (Parking card).
  • In addition, additional language classes are organized for students with disabilities, conducted by SJO employees. Enrollment always takes place at the beginning of the winter semester. These classes are individualized and tailored to the needs of students.
