About us
Section for services for people with disabilities provides comprehensive support for people with special needs, including those with disabilities. The team consists of The Rector’s Representative for the Disabled: Dr. Krystyna Gilga, Aneta Kucybała Specialist – Consultant for inclusive education and Wioletta Bachórz Specialist – Consultant for inclusive education.

What we do?
We provide support for persons with special needs, including those with disabilities:
- Ensuring conditions for full participation in the life of the University and the academic community includes in particular the rights and forms of support referred to in the University Support Regulations.
- The entities responsible for coordinating activities for people with special needs, including persons with disabilities, are: the Section for Special Needs, The Rector’s Office for Services to Persons with Disabilities, and the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Disability Services. Persons with Disabilities.
- Students with special needs, including those with disabilities, if warranted by the extent of their special needs, are entitled to the privileges and services referred to in the Support Regulations.
- At the written request of the student, the Section for Disability Support shall issue a decision on the granted entitlements and forms of support after consulting with the Rector’s Representative for Student Affairs. Persons with Disabilities.
- Documents:
- The majority of teaching and administrative facilities of the University are, to a varied extent, adapted to the needs and accessibility requirements of people with disabilities. In the case of students with mobility problems, the Teaching Department, after obtaining information from the Dean’s Office, undertakes to plan classes to be held in buildings adapted to people with special accessibility needs.
- In addition, students with disabilities are offered free access to parking spaces on the campus (Parking card).
- Additional language classes are organized for students with disabilities, conducted by SJO employees. Enrollment always takes place at the beginning of the winter semester. These classes are individualized and tailored to the needs of students.
